You didn't say what year v-6...
Usually they shake normally a little bit.. just how the engine operates espcially on start up and about the first minute after wards...
after running for a while, usually I find it's more of a misfire or just the mounts starting to wear causing the vibration IMO

All fords shake, everyone knows that. even the ford v8's shake almost all v8's have a firing order of1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, because it was determined this order caused the least shake and vibration.
Ford had to be special though, so they used 1-5-4-3-6-2-7-8, resulting in a shaky car.

As long as it shakes but does not stir, you're fine. Seriously, though, if your engine is shaking, there's something wrong with it, and it needs to be checked out by a mechanic. Check your air cleaner, make sure it's not clogged...
