I never seem to get guys' attention...because I am really shy...but if I ever stop being shy I am told that lots of smiles and eye contact works.

Well desperate is no way to go about building a relationship. It's almost as if you are trying to take his decision making power away from him and put him into a situation he may regret. That being said, you can dress nicely around him. Smile a lot, just kinf of "be available". If he is into you, he will reciprocate.

First, just be yourself. Dont ever think of trying to impress your crush. Your crush wont know your true behaviour, taste, hobbies and watsoever you like.
I remember the time I was not in my best shape, when my crush came along and asked me out. I mean, I wasnt looking my best, no make ups and my clothes were not up to date. And had a chat on our first date, it turned out that my crush dislikes girls to really impress him and he likes girls who are like plain jane. Ever since, we are dating till now...
So why not try talking it out with him, have a small chat. Or maybe just be the one to ask him out, guys always like that for a change.

You could do a strip tease for him, but that's probably not the best way to impress him, unless he's a real sleaze bag. Just be nice to him, pay attention to him, but don't cling to him. Let him know in subtle ways that you are interested in him, but also make it clear that without him, you still have a life.

Desperation is never an attractive trait... thats the first thing you have change about you. The next thing you have to do is to always be yourself, because you want someone to want you for who you are not how you look.
So smile, be yourself and stop being desperate!
The right guy will like you...even if this one doesn't.

Unfortunately, I don't know if you can find a real answer to that question.... especially if you appear VERY DESPARATE!
Most boys like girls who show an interest in them and the things that they are interested in. But they also like girls that they find visually appealing.
Without knowing you or this boy, all I can tell you is show an interest, but don't be a stalker. Don't be too available -- and don't act jealous, if he shows an interest in someone else.
Eye contact is also good! Flirt with your eyes.

lol. you shouldn't be impressing a crush. impressing someone takes too much time and energy. if someone likes you it should be effortless. no one should put an effort into getting someone else's attention. the attraction should be coming from both parities not from just one.

well i have been trying to get some guys attion before some dont notice try sitting on his lap and kiss him that might work by he could be like some guys i have meet and not notice some guys are really culeless and you have to deal with it you could always just come right out and tell him you like him and ask him out
