I work for a brand new company that wants to focus on its environmental responsibility. What can employees, management etc. do? (And yes, we do recycle!)

My co worker and I carpool. We trade driving every other week. We would like to save more gas money by inviting a couple more people but do not know who would be interested and works the same hours. If the company had someone to coordinate this it would be great.
