Color coding is a major plus as far as organization and productivity is concerned. The human eye notices color long before it notices writing on paper. To file by color makes the job go quicker which in turn allows you to do more work in a day. This ups the productivity.

Using color coded files will ascertain that files get filed in the correct place. Which means employees won't have to waste time looking for a file that was filed in the wrong slot, drawer, cabinet, etc. This also ups the productivity.

When a work place is organized by color, the efficiency and productivity is enhanced.

Using color to code employee's work is a way to up the organization and productivity also. You won't waste time trying to find out who did what. If Pamela's color is blue and Amy's color is yellow, you'll know right away who did what. No more placing the blame anywhere or on anyone else...

Hope this helps.

Well for one thing, if everyone knows what the color code is then over-all organization will be standardized. That will usually result in efficiencies all around (man-time, supplies, space organization).

Aesthetically, the tabs would be uniform -- that may increase productivity. I think that there is a risk with the color coding. What if the office hires a colorblind person? I guess that they will answer the phone.
