I'm 15, and I got convicted for shoplifting. I was caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people. I stole alcohol and tobacco, but being 15, I'm not being charged with an MIP. I haven't gone to court yet, but I'm wondering if the judge will want to know that I'm 100% sorry and I'll never do it again, or will he even care? I stole 93$ worth, 7$ away from going to jail. =\

My parents have punished me gravely and I see things way differently now. What do you think will happen? It's not a very simple question to ask, but can anyone take a guess?

When I was in the LP room, the lady said that I was a very minor case compared to other people that shoplift.

if its your first offense the chances are you will only get a fine and some community service. at the most maybe probation and/or some alcohol classes since that was an item shoplifted. one of the best things you can do is stand up and speak to the judge. as long as you are sincere and take responsibility for your mistake the judge might show leniency. but even if not it shows your strength and character by standing up and saying what you feel.

Well I wish you could go to jail because you don't seem remorseful of your actions one bit. First of all take responsibility for what YOU did, not your friends but you. I deal with criminals every day and they always say it wasen't them, blah blah blah!! Own responsibility for your actions, that is the first step. Second, know what you did is wrong, it does not matter how much you stole or why, it is against the law! You are asking for ways to sound more sincere, maybe if you were, the judge would really believe you. If I were you, I would find new friends and new hobbies because a life of crime does not pay off; talk to the people I arrest daily, ask them.

Don't worry about talking to the judge. You are much better getting an attorney. A good attorney will get the charges completely dropped for a minor first offense. That way you won't have to say a thing to the judge. :)

I have heard many cases the opinion that we ought to continuously string baby molestors up please attempt to consider what i'm putting forward when I say that i imagine you're incorrect contained in the phillipines, the position they made baby rape punishable via lack of life, the conviction cost went down, because maximum baby rape grow to be happening in the relatives, and the little ones did not decide on to truly convict their fathers and uncles to lack of life. i imagine that the negative 'predatory' peadophiles are the end of a a lot higher iceberg, those who look and get carry of baby porn - in case you create a really strict regime antagonistic to all 'peadophiles' - as in someone who has an unnatural attraction to little ones - then they're not in any respect going to seek help from GP's etc ... because data has shown that those each body isn't previous treatment. I agree that predatory paedophiles deserve harsh punishment, yet we ought to continuously nonetheless settle for that it really is an ailment and that folk can search for help for this ailment - because if i grow to be in touch in youngsters i ought to imagine that is an ailment, i can not imagine everybody ought to willingly decide on to do something so hideous - and usually people of this persuasion were by skill of a few sexual trauma themselves it truly is why they're the way they're campaigbs via the likes on NOTW, will purely force the completed element underground which will be better risky for little ones BTW - i ought to respond to convinced a minimum of on a non everlasting element, i dont imagine everybody dealing with any pshycological subject matters is in a stunning good position to have little ones

it depends on the place you stole from. if they want to pursue it you will probably get a few days in lock down.

you did a bad thing and got caught. pay for what you did and get it behind you.

if you get a attorney it will cost your parents a lot of money and what have you learned?

not much. suck up and pay for what you did you will be better of in the long run.

you will think twice before you do wrong again.

a business owner.
