Let's see, I have long, brown hair. For lack of better wording, my hair goes down to my bra strap. I have a couple layers cut in. It's natually frizzy, thick, poofy and curly/wavy, but I straighten it everyday.
My face is oval-ish, and I think it's kinda long, but idk.
I kinda want to get side bangs, but I'm nervous. I haven't had bangs since I was in pre-school.
If I do, how thick should it be and how long should they be?
Also: any links to picture of people with side bangs would be apprectiated.

Yes!! I have (from what you've described) the same hair and face shape as you! I have bangs and I've been told they look really good lots of times, so I think you should definetly go for it! Side bangs look really cute on almost everyone, and if you go to your hairdresser, you can ask her to give you long ones that aren't too wide (if you know what i mean, like width across your forehead) and fall about to your cheekbone and layer down, and if you like them and want more, you can go back and get more cut off and add more width. It looks good with a few layers at the bottom of your hair, or layers everywhere coming down from the bangs. It's really up to you but I think you should!
Also how big is your forehead? If you have a bit of a large one they would make you look alot nicer, same if you have big ears or stick out ears and want to wear your hair up. A lot of people feel more confident with a fringe so go for it :)

well most people have side bangs, i have side bangs too. theyre really cute, and most boys think its pretty! also for oval faces, you can full-on bangs too. but personally, i like the side bangs better. well anyways you wanted some links so here is one picture that i really like:

-it also doesnt matter how long it should be. maybe a little bit above your cheek would be fine. you dont want it too thick, just a few wisps of hair!
DONT WoRRY about bangs. i gurantee itll look good!
-i also have an oval face too, so i can relate!

well, how old are you. sometimes your age can help determine if it will look good. good thing you straighten it. i gave up on doing that and now i have a perm. my sis. has side bangs and her hair is about as long as yours but it is pretty thin. if you do get them, don't get them very thick, cuz they can look bad like that and get in the way. you should probably get them to a little lower than your cheek bone, so it doesn't look like it's part of your layers, only parted differently. good luck!

I've had side bangs for a few years now. They are great and if they get on your nerves you can just put them back with some bobby pins, headband or make a pompadour like Gwen Stefani. Good luck and for best results print out the picture and bring it to your hairdresser!

i imagine they could look lovable :) i needed them regardless of the reality that bu i replaced my ideas and were given 2 angles interior the front, it really is like your hair slopes down and then is going promptly something else of how round OH like... it really is the front: ______/ face______ and then the again: ________________ all promptly Yeah so i did not decide on what each body else needed so evaluate that :) yet to respond to your question instantly, convinced they could look lovable :) yet evaluate the above...

i just got them and i have hair similar to yours. i love them. they make a ponytail look more posh. but you will have to use a round brush and blowdryer on them so they lay right.
