i want something that when people come over they know that i have a punk side and that im a skater chick! im having a hard time finding a color that i love so if anyone can give me some ideas let me know! oh and no pink. thanks!

Try a maroon-y, dark purple. Black or gray accents would look nice.

You need a color that's rich in pigment so that whatever color you choose it will be pure color. Its more expensive but you'll love the effect. Definitely get flat,no gloss wall paint. No shine. The trim gets shiny paint.
I have no idea what your taste is but heres my suggestions:
Turquoise blue. Its easy to live with. very tranquil
Deep yellow going toward orange. --can be stimulating
Deep peach, the color of a sunset is great and uplifting
Kelly green. --its like being in a deep forest.
Chinese Red in nice with contempory furniture
Do the ceiling in a flat eggshell white. Painting the ceiling one of those colors would be overwhelming. Trust me.
I love paint on textured walls.

well if your a skater chick on the punk side you should go with something like Fire Ant! its a dutch-boy brand color code isB21-3

i would use black as a base and some deep rich colors to play with - like reds and blues -- what are your favorite colors? go to a paint store and pick up some free swatches of the colors and hold them up to your wall and try to picture how it would look in your room...

how about red and draw a skater on the one wall wit black colour but just the lines of the body...no shadows..no other colours no details
