I have been wondering if all types of jews, christians, and muslims can pray the Our Father together. Could this be a prayer common to all? Is there any reason this prayer cannot be prayed together? I hope this will help unite everyone.

Absolutely not.

It can only be prayed by those who worship Heavenly Father and believe and obey Heavenly Father's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

The New Testament is very clear. It says that anyone who rejects Jesus Christ also rejects His Heavenly Father. One exact quote from Jesus is: "He who rejects me rejects him who sent me." Jesus also says in the New Testament: "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through Me." There are many other quotes in the New Testament that say the same thing.

Dear friend, it is imperative that you really read and study the New Testament. It doesn't say what many people say it says. It says over and over that the ONLY people who will be saved and gain eternal will be those who are fully loyal to Jesus Christ and His Heavenly Father. ALL others all completely lost and will not gain eternal life. They will never know peace.

You hope for unity of all peoples, Jews, Muslims and Christians. You long for an end to wars, divisions, terrorism, racism, etc. And you are right to long for that.

But what you must focus on is not UNITY among various humans, but UNITY of YOURSELF with HEAVENLY FATHER and His BELOVED SON, JESUS CHRIST. It is only in this Unity that you will find the answers, peace and future that you are looking for. This is the answer for yourself and for as many other people who will accept the Salvation that is offered by Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus.

Christians do not see this as a formal prayer but as a pattern coinciding with the prayer to be meaningful and not repetitiopus.

It is more of a form. Adoration, Confesion, Thanksgiving, and Supplication

Yes....it could be....not sure about Muslims, though. Jews could....it is a very Jewish prayer but they won't say it because of its Christian connotation.

As for some Christians who are absolutely loate to reciting anything, well.....they are absolutely loathe to reciting anything and would much rather just "wing it".

For Muslims, calling God "father" would be blasphemy and I'm pretty sure that goes for some Jews as well.

It would also help your case if you stated "The Lord's Prayer" in correct terminology.

Thy kingdom Come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven

I would love to see it also however with all the different belief's about God, The creator, etc. and we came into existence I do not foresee it anytime soon.

i think it should be, and i agree, the Lord's Prayer could help unite many different religions, as long as they believe in God.
