They use the old English Parlamentary law of witchhunts. If they die they know not what the answers are. If they live, torture longer.

Torture does not work. More times then not you will not get accurate information. You will get told anything in hopes of stopping whatever is going on.
There are, however, many proven, and acceptable interrogation techniques that prove very useful in getting information out of people. Now, some people also consider these techniques as torture, but they don't really know what they are talking about.
I went through SERE school when I was in the Corps. I was a radio operator with artillery, and was assigned to go out with Forward Observers. Basically, you are out there in the middle of nowhere on your own calling in fire missions on anything you see.
The one thing that got most of us in SERE school was the sleep deprivation. After 4 days with no sleep, no food, being wet the whole time, and freezing, you start seeing things, and you really don't know what is going on. You are asked questions, and don't even realize you are answering them. When I woke up after it was all over, I didn't even recall the last two times I was taken and questioned. I saw the tapes of it, but literally could not recall being there. I was a blabbering idiot. I told them stuff about my family, where they lived, phone numbers, everyone in my team, ranks, jobs, what we were there to do. And, these guys were on my team. I would hate to be a POW in a real world situation.

I don't believe in torture. When a person is being tortured, they will tell you anything or nothing & die. What ever you learn from a person being tortured has to be suspect.
There are other ways to obtain information from people that does not include torture. We don't want our people tortured so we in turn should not torture. It is inhumane & not worthy of America to resort to these acts.

The first rule of torture is you don't torture the person to get information. You use it to either get the next person in line to give you information or to influence the behavior of your enemies to your advantage. I heard that no enemy prisoner wants to go to Gitmo even though they don't mind dieing and going to Hell.

torture - is a bad policy. if i torture you and you know nothing why would you not just make something up to get me to stop?
if i torture you and you know something why would you not make something up to get me to tell you?
if i feed you and treat you like a human being and i gain your trust are you not more likely to help me in my cause then if i torture you and treat you like crap.???

gitmo question.. nice..
every1 sent to gitmo is captured on enemy grounds, while in combat. so therefore, yes they are all terrorists. dont give me any of that bs that they arent terrorists.. i could go deeper into this but i dont feel its good use of my time.
torture is different in real life then it is in the movies people.
most of it is science related, not physical.
the worst physical punishment used is water-boarding.. and that got banned..
all they do is drop water down your nose so you feel like your drowning... but your not... so its not dangerous, just unconfortable.
i lauf at these liberals who try to protect these terrorists..
they named "lack of sleep" as one of gitmo's top 5 most inhumane torture techniques....ROFL aww, poor american-killing terrorists...
