Hi UFO,
Sorry, I can't answer your question. I am on probation, cause I answered a Muslim question by saying that "I was having a bad hair day".

Revelation 21:21 And the twelve gates have been twelve pearls; each countless gate became into of one pearl: and the line of the city became into 24-karat gold, because it have been sparkling glass. John Gill assertion And the line of the city became into 24-karat gold, because it have been sparkling glass; denoting the preciousness and delightfulness of the saints' communique one with yet another; and the purity and cleanness of it, there being no mire and grime of sin in those streets; and the sincerity and openness of it, each and each walking in his uprightness; which would be considered and extensive-unfold of all, as needless to say as something might nicely be beheld in a sparkling glass. So the Jews say (t) of paradise, that the floor is paved with powerful stones, the lustre of which may be whilst in comparison with the gentle of burning torches.

On a serious note - people tend to forget that John was reporting what he saw and heard based on comparisons using elements known to him at his time in history.
Was the streets of the New Jerusalem (not heaven) paved in gold? Maybe - but he said they were transparent as glass and gold is not transparent, not in his day especially. He was describing something unusual to him and I think he did an impressive job describing something so unique, so alien to him.
The streets were no doubt shiny - perhaps a golden luster. They would have looked something like a gold tinted shiny glass pane laid over a golden base perhaps. I would guess this to me a more contemporary description of what John saw.
I personally do not believe it was actual gold.

The streets are probably gold electroplated, and the faithful will ride in rickshaws pulled by angels.
Live well...

Yes it will be paved with gold. There will be no vehicles. And It doesn't matter what the value of gold will be. For all I know, I will be spending my time praising God and Serving him.

Who cares? Heaven is heaven, gold streets or not, I think its still gonna be awesome.
You will have no need for money [gold] when you're dead. I'd try and focus on GETTING there before worrying what it'll be like.
