My S10 Chevy Blazer was buried in salt water and won't work right. I need something reliable thats inspectable in Rhode Island Emmisions, I'm willing to pay no more than $1500.00 Anyone out there have any localized vehicles for sale, preferably a wagon, or something I can throw a lawnmower in the back of like a jeep/truck or something...

I was going to tell you about craigslist, but Ian F beat me to it.
craigslist is a great resource for anybody looking to buy or sell.
I now use it more than ebay. (as it is free to post AND the ads are from your local area...)

When I buy a vehicle the first thing I do is go to the Consumer Reports web site to figure out the best and most reliable vehicle for my needs. Then check listings at local dealers (most are on line), and nationwide dealers like Edmons, Car Max or Kelly Blue Book. I'm sure there are other nationwide dealers other people could clue you into.

Honda, Acura, Toyota. PIck-up a Consumer Reports Buyers Guide. They have a list of preferred cars and cars to avoid.

I'd go with an older Jeep. They last very well and if not that buy a jap older truck.
