Depends on your definition of "interesting". Some people think anything outside their cultural norms or daily diet is interesting. I've tried all kinds of stuff- tripe, tongue, sushi, calamari, Kim Chee, chitlins, lotus root- but these are all dietary regulars for other cultures. Some were really good, some I thought were gross since I didn't have the "acquired taste".

Almond custard pastry. You can find it in French bakeries (in the US and France).
If you are looking for something really exotic, try a crocodile sandwich (in some Cajun/New Orleans style cafes). The meat is white and fluffy. Tastes good and I am a conventional person.

I had monkey meat in Africa. Not sure what kind of monkey it was. Would not try it again. And no...did not know that's what it was when I ate it. Or I would not have tried it. Nor would I advise trying it. I didn't like the first bite, spit it out...that's when they told me what it was. It made me throw up.

I've tried seaweed chips, it was the most repulsing taste I've ever had, and people tell me I eat weird stuff. I've heard that asain people don't mind it, because that's where I got the chips from.
