God is eternal having neither beginning of days or end of life, a Spirit fire or light called life. The Word begins with thought from conscious awareness I am, acquiring wisdom to reason thought to self with the Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God. This wisdom of thought with words is not any substance or matter but Spirit, the Holy Spirit. God is One, by Himself or alone with His Words the Holy Spirit. This timeless existence of reasoning wanted company and God’s thoughts turn to creating company or sons. Sons to behold, abide with, and communion with. God discovered love, not of the thought, but of the sons He envisioned. God felt this love, the magnificence of it and wanted His sons to love Him. God realized He could not create true love or forced it upon a being, but true love would only manifest in sons of freewill. The wisdom of God also knew it would be necessary to govern sons of freewill by laws that are fair and righteous, to hold them accountable. God was willing to risk rejection and rebellion against the law. Sons of freewill could choose not to love Him but must obey the law. The sons would need a place to abide, explore, and grow. God created the heavens and the earth, His kingdom.

Any command in the Bible. Why are there any commands or instructions in the Bible if we have no choice or free will? It would make no sense, if there were no possibility of any other option. Commands are given and we can choose to obey them or reject them. We can choose to come to God or away from him.

But notice the following specific verses that show choice, or free will.

“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, CHOOSE you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15)

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore CHOOSE life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” (Deuteronomy 30:19)

“Refuse the evil and CHOOSE the good” (Isaiah 7:15-16)

The Gospel was to be preached to everyone (Mark 16:15-16), not just the chosen, the elite, or the elect.

Revelation 22:17 says, “Whosoever will…” can be saved. This is talking about man’s will or choice to follow God.

God is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9) This is God’s will, but he has given us the ability to choose. Because of this choice, not all will come to repentance. God does not want any to perish, but many will perish because they have been given a choice. Many choose the pleasure of sin over submitting to God's word.

The "choice" verses are only proof of man's not having any access to the book of life. We don't know who will and won't be saved, but that does not mean that we have the ability to seek out God. Those who are not called, will not "choose" anyway. For those that are chosen, the credit does not go to them for chosing! They simply responded to God's call and the Holy Spirit's work in their heart.

BTW Adam and Eve failed in their choice, and this is indicative of our own capabilities or lack thereof, and the fact that no one is able to look to God for salvation.

Funny. So many christians talk about free will, but the Bible doesn't back that assumption at all. In fact, God says that no man can choose to come to Him unless God draws him. Psychologists agree: Free Will is an illusion. A powerful illusion, but an illusion nonetheless.

If God did not bestow free will-then why were Adam and Eve given the choice of not eating the forbidden fruit and staying in paradise? The inhabitants of Soddom and Gomorrha (SP?)-advised to repent or be sorry,,they all chose the action on there own-it was not forced on them - so they practiced free will.

Lev. 1:3
“‘If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, a male, a sound one, is what he should present. At the entrance of the tent of meeting he should present it of his own free will before Jehovah..."

Philemon 14
But without your consent I do not want to do anything, so that your good act may be, not as under compulsion, but of your own free will.

(Deuteronomy 30:15-16) “15 “See, I do put before you today life and good, and death and bad. 16 [If you will listen to the commandments of Jehovah your God,] which I am commanding you today, so as to love Jehovah your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judicial decisions, then you will be bound to keep alive and to multiply, and Jehovah your God must bless you in the land to which you are going to take possession of it.”
“17 “But IF your heart turns away and you do not listen, and you are actually seduced and bow down to other gods and serve them, 18 I do tell YOU today that YOU will positively perish. YOU will not lengthen YOUR days on the ground to which you are crossing the Jordan to go to take possession of it. 19 I do take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against YOU today, that I have a PUT life and death BEFORE (my caps)you, the blessing and the malediction; and you must CHOOSE (my caps)life in order that you may keep alive, you and your offspring, 20 by loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice and by sticking to him; for he is your life and the length of your days, that you may dwell upon the ground that Jehovah swore to your forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to give to them.””

I hope you are not going to say that is not free will since there are consequences for the bad or evil choice.

There are indeed many more scriptures!
