No way to avoid it with Iran going nuclear and threatening us and Israel. Pakistan is just inches away from being an Islamic state with the bomb. What kind of war, if we or Israel act presumptively or we wait till it's almost too late like we did in WW 2 , we'll have to see.

Entirely possible. It all depends on what our President does next! If he ignores Iran, we may be able to get out of the middle east without having to take on another country. Of course that entire region has no use for us so who really knows what could happen.
Since none of them have the bomb yet & they don't know if we are nuts enough to use ours, I think they fear our true might. The news we read etc regarding Iraq only speaks of the areas fighting us, not the areas that are not engaged in any fighting with anyone, at peace. Do you ever wonder about that? I do.

If by a large war you mean, "Are we going to spread our ground troops so thin that congress will have to threaten the administration with budget cuts in order for them to notice?" then, Yes. If you mean WW III, probably not.

I don't think so. The US is tired of war and no one really wants to fight them. Iran would be slaughtered if they tried anything.
