My dad is currently deployed in Iraq and has plenty of spare time. I feel bad he never has anything to do but sleep and have been thing of something to send him so he wouldn't be nearly as bored, any suggestions?

send him a gigantic jigsaw puzzle. At some places you can even get a picture (like, maybe one of you), and turn it into one. That way he'll always have something to do, and a little bit of home at the same time!

According to what I read, people serving in Iraq like to get decks of playing cards, hard candies such as peppermints, sun screen, baby wipes (great for quick clean-up whether or not you're a baby), magazines, and paperback books. Check with someone knowledgable about what foods you can send if you're thinking of sending a treat. A letter hand written by you would be something your dad could always carry with him. And thanks for him to serving.

Send him a Love Box. In the box include:

*Pictures of you
*Pictures of your family
*Letters
*A book or two
*A poster that you, your family and your neighbors signed
*Chocolate, candy or cookies ( wraped in plastic wrap or they will go bad before they get there)

Hope this helps you out!
