I coordinate about 125 volunteers to do free tax preparation. What is a good, unique volunteer gift that I could give each of them that wouldn't cost more than $5-$7 per item, but still be something that would be a good keepsake?

Perhaps you can photocopy and bind all of the thank you notes that you receive as an entire group as a result of the free tax preparation and then give a copy to each helper. That would be a great keepsake that probably wouldn't cost much per person.

I would suggest getting original art for them. They're neat and original and every gift is different.

One good place to get this type of gifts is through the MAP movement. Check out http://market.myartplot.com

They have stuff for $5

It is the arts and crafts store front for the MyArtPlot (MAP) movement at http://www.myartplot.com. You basically buy affordable original arts and crafts directly from the artists. I personally believe in what they're trying to do as a movement.

You can also check out etsy.com where they have some handmade goods as well for that price. Good luck! Wow 125 volunteers to do free tax prep? That's a lot of volunteers!

That is very thoughtful of you~ volunteering has its own reward, but acknowledgment is nice (c:

I don't think you will get a better answer than "sidewinder"s for a gift for each.

Maybe his suggestion and a luncheon in a church basement.
