You need to get a visa from the immigration department: http://www.immi.gov.au to live and work in Australia. You can only do this if you have a trade or profesion that is in demand in Australia. To get a permanent residency visa you first need to get your skills, qualifications and experience assessed by the relevant organisation in Australia (a list is available at the immigration website). Once you pass the skills assessment you need to submit a visa application to DIMA with all the relevant evidence and paperwork they request. When they process your application they will notify you when to get a medical and police check done. Provided you pass all these stages, you will have to send your passport to the nearest Australian consulate to have the visa stuck in your passport. It will cost you a couple of thousand dollars in application fees, plus the cost of airfares and moving home, etc. Once you arrive in Australia the process of finding employment is the same as anywhere else.

Migrating to Australia is not as simple as just moving there and finding job. You have to go through a process. You can visit their website and find out. It is a great country to live, you have good taste. I lived there in 20 years my kids and grandkids live there and I visit them 2x a year
