Yes, and No!!!
Yes if:
-babysitter is family member (aunt, cousin, grandparent, etc.)
-YOU can trust them with your child, and know your child will be supervised while in the tub.
-id say probably be a female-unless its a grandparent. It might be a bit weird......but thats just my opinion!!
-you know you'll be home late, and your son/daughter really needs a bath that night, and you wont be able to do it, incase your home late!!
NO if:
-babysitter is a young teen. (probably between 13-18) I'd personally feel more comfortable with someone at least in their twenties, unless they are EXTREMLEY mature for their age!!!
-dont ask them to bathe her if your going to be worried about it the whole time your out!!! you want your night/day out to be enjoyable, and not have to worry if your child is safe or not with your babysitter!!
hope that helped!

I would not let a babysitter bathe my daughters ages 9, 4, and 2 unless the babysitter had been with us for awhile.

I think that if the babysitter is the same sex as the child then thats okay! If you do not trust this sitter to bathe the child and you think something could happen then I would not trust them to do anything with my children. Be safe and really know your babysitters.

Since you are asking this question I think you are already uncomfortable with the situation. Tell babysitter you will bath your daughter.

If you trust this person to watch your child when you are not around you should trust them to give your child a bath. Honestly, at 5 your child should be able to do it on her own anyway. I work at a day care and we have male employees and they are very good with the children and I would probably trust them with my kids if I had any before some of the females I work with so sex should not be an issue. If you don't trust this person to do that you shouldnt have them watching your child at all.

Who cares is the babyistter is Male or Female. If I had kids I wouldnt want some stranger bathing my 5 year old kid. Oh thats a big fat no no. I would have the kid already bathed before the sitter got there.

it depends...if you feel comfortable with your babysitter and you trust them go right ahead!
I babysit and I have had to bathe kids before but I recommend that if you have a new babysitter dont have them bathe your child because they might not feel comfortable doing that and also your child might not be to happy to have a stranger giving them a bath!

If you baby sitter is female it is ok and maybe even male. Just tell your daughter every night if she is touched in appropriatly then she must tell you no matter what.
Also let your baby sitter know what your expectations are whilst he/she is bathing your daughter, you should aslo think do you or your husband have time to bath her when you leave at night? Consider what fits with your schedule and hers.

If you trust her which I know could be tough seeing all the media stories of abusive baby-sittters and care-takers. Maybe you should bathe your daughter. She is a child, and doesn't need much bath products at that age, she hasn't reached puberty yet, so try that instead. I hope your baby-sitter means well.
