My BF and I have been going out for 6 months and whenever I'm talking to him on the phone, he brings up subjects like abortion and having kids when Im older. But Im 14! What is he thinking about and why?

Have you guys ever had sex? Becasue if you did he probably has the impression that you might be pregnant . If not he probably wants you someday have his kids . Well Good luck Feel free to email me ifyou need more advice i like giveing advice to people! =]

He is either concerned about the possible negative effects of a sexual relationship with you or he is feeling you out as to what you would do if an "accident" happened and you became pregnant. Although it would be much more mature if he could have the conversation clearly with you and in person (more safe over the phone) it does show that he is thinking ahead and trying to protect his (and your) future. This is defianlty a conversation that needs to be had with him in clear communication so you both know where you stand on the subject BEFORE any "accidents" happen, and you should also discuss how to effectilvey prevent accidents in a way you can both agree on. It is bot of your responsibility to protect yourself from pregnancy and STD's and it is good that he is willing to discuss it... so take the lead and create an in-person communicative conversation where you both come out agreeing on how to prevent and what would occur if something did happne. You will both thnak yourself for this.

Tell him you dont want to talk about things like that. Your 14 you shouldn't have to go there. If he keeps it up and your uncomfortable find a new bf.

Maybe he wants to have sex but not kids. If you have sex, use birth control, this guy sounds like he don't want any kids and no use to bring a child into a world with only one loving parent.

I am thinking that guy is nuts. He is ready to settle down, but you should wait many years before you start getting yourself in a rut.
Live while you have the ability. Don't tie yourself down.
Tell him his ideas are Cynical and that if he cannot wait, he should let you be.
