Actually, Islam does not teach young earth creationism. Science is fully compatible with the Qur'an. The process of evolution leading up to today was necessary and the existence of dinosaurs led to the existence of birds. Isn't that useful for humans? Imagine a world without birds.

PS. I didn't say that the whole point of dinosaurs was to make birds for us. Obviously they had a particular role within the biological development of the planet, and I don't think we understand all the reasons.

May Peace Mercy and Blessings of Allah(swt) be on all of you.

Well i have not come across a single book that provides the evidence (fact)that dinosorous existed before mankind.the time factor is still a theory and we all know that theories take U turns many times.
Even if i take take concordious approach still no where does the Quran says that "human being is the first "living creature "on earth".so dinosorous may or may not have come before men.Qur'an still has no objections.

May Peace Mercy and Blessings of Allah(swt) be on all of you,
