I waited until I was 22 and don't regret it for a moment - but when I was 16, 17, 18 I was going nuts wanting to get it on with someone of the female persuasion! On the other hand, of my graduating class of nearly six hundred, twelve couples got married in their senior years or upon graduation. Not ONE of those couples stayed together, although one marriage did last seven years - several children were produced during those marriages - and each and every one of the guys and gals deeply regrets having done it so soon. I knew several of them very well, and not one of them had waited until marriage before getting horizontal and nekkid. So, at least from my perspective - and I'll be the first to admit my experience does not hold true for everyone - sex at an early age is a mistake and sometimes, a very big mistake. Those kids I mentioned? Seems like not one of them had a happy childhood...but then I was an outside observer...so what do you think? Why might you think you are capable of handling it where all these others aren't?

Wait until you are ready to accept the committment of a child. A child you really want to love and raise. THere are more children born when it was thought it wouldn't happen then necessary. You only get to enjoy your childhood for about 20 years, then you are suppose to be an adult. Enjoy the fun carefree times while you can. I waited until I was engaged. I am proud to say that I can go to my class reunions and look everyone in the eye and smile. I also am told I was one of the few who did not have sex in school. I have many tell me they really respected me for that. Yes, I had a boyfriend, the same one for over a year. Yes He wanted to have sex, and broke up with me several times over it, but he always came back. He is still a good friend and no I have no interest in having sex with him now. I am married 40 years to the same man. By the way, sex gets better as you get older. You know how to better and are not so selfish.

I went into my marriage a virgin and never regretted it. I do not believe in what is going on nowadays. Young teens have sex with everyone and it seems to be some sort of game.
Sex is a very important part of a relationship and should be fun for both, but at the same time, it is not something "casual".
I do not think that waiting until married is wrong. More young people should practice that.

That's the age old question, should I or shouldn't.If you want to know the truth about it,the Bible says to wait until marriage.Hebrews 13:4 says marriage is honorable among all,and the bed undefiled;but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. This is just one scripture the Bible talks about how it's the right thing to do to wait until marriage.I understand you're having feelings and it's driving you crazy, but, please do the right thing and wait until you're married. And furthermore if you happen to meet a young man and you two are serious about one another, and you tell him of your intentions to wait until you are married, and he doesn't understand, then he's not for you.A real man will accept your decision, and deal with it.Too many young people take having sex to lightly.Sex is not what makes a relationship,it's togetherness, understanding, marriage, then the consumation of the marriage.Truthfully speaking,no,I didnot wait until I was married.Although I was fully grown when I had my son,if I could change things i would.I would of still had a child, but just a little later in life, and with my husband. So,just a little friendly advice, think, before you let it go,because once it's gone you'll never get it back.My advice to you wait until you marry, trust me you're worth waiting for.May God give you the strength to help you make the right decision for yourself, pray about it,he'll give you the answer.Hope i've been some help. You take care of yourself

ok I think waiting is such an important thing. You wait till you know you found the right one. If you wait it will be more special than if you gave it away to other guys. Its saying how much you love the guy. I think waiting is such an amazing thing. I think if you wait you know that you don't want to be his seconds you want to be his first. I think waiting till marrige is something that people have to make on their own but if they do it will be really speical between the person you love and you.

I don't think it's wise to wait for marriage because sexual incompatibility is a very real problem. It is a major cause for divorce and/or cheating. Incompatibility includes things like varying sex drives. For instance, my sex drive is probably a little hyperactive while my significant others is far lower than mine. So, there is tension there. We've mostly solved it, but it is an issue of incompatibility. Had we not discovered this BEFORE marriage, it could have become a major problem for us later on.

But waiting until you are mature enough to handle it is a wise idea. I waited until I was 19. I was just ready by that point. I'd solidified education as my top priority, and I realized that I wanted to find someone I could trust and enjoy to share my first sexual experience with. I did just that, and it was fantastic. I was mature enough to handle it. I don't regret a moment of it.

I was 17 when I lost it to a guy who didn't give me a chance to say "no" (date rape) I was scared to leave him and put up with a lot of abuse from him...when I finally was able to leave him 8 months later, I made mistake after mistake after mistake, trying to find someone who would help me to feel better about the first situation....until finally I got pregnant at 18 and had my daughter at 19...swore off sex from the moment I got pregnant till I met my current boyfriend of two years....my daughter is 3, I am 22 and my boyfriend is 35. We are a very happy family, but the mistake of being with 4 different guys has done a lot of damage on my mental stability toward my boyfriend (trusting issues) but he faithfully stands by me 100%. For me, it is worth it to wait until the right guy comes along, you suffer less....

Well Susie I know you have alot of opinons to your question and I think you should really wait until you get married that's what God made it for .But alot of people don't the reason he made it for marriage is cuz once you give yourself to someone like that it's emotions, feelings ,personal and sacredness attached to that. There is not a better gift to give to your husband than your innocense and that's what I'm going to do.I think alot of young girls and boys should wait but the world is so corrupt now they act like you don't need to wait, but you are something special when your a virgin don't let any body tell you less.

Wait. When you meet the right guy that you really love and he loves you, it is so right. You experience all of your most special times together. You are a beautiful person with something that not many other girls have. Wait and you will regret nothing.

I will say wait. I will tell you that I am still a virgin and I am glad with all the std's out there. I strongly believe having one partner for the rest of your life is a gift. I hope that this helps because I don't regret waiting at all.
