I buy powdered milk to keep on hand in case of emergency, or in case I'm in the middle of cooking a recipe and discover that my husband drank the last of the milk.

It's easy to make, just fine for cooking, and keeps for a long time without refrigeration (before mixing). These are key reasons to buy powdered milk and keep it in your emergency supplies.

in my country people buy powdered milk because it's cheaper. But usually they use it not for drink but for baking.

It's in case they eat/drink poison and they drink the powered milk to chuck it up. lol

Also because it is cheap and good for when your kids forget to tell you are out.

It's better than non-dairy creamer
It's useful for recipes.
It'll do in a pinch if you run out, and your kids give you grief over it.

I've got a box, so you can keep yours.

:O
