I'm so confused by this girl....I'm old enough to know but I just dont
this girl and I have been friends for few years, not very close but friends nonetheless. Her husband is my friend too but they split up early last year and they divorce is almost over. Just so you all know I had nothing to do with it.
I've always liked her and found her attractive but never did anything about it because she was married and I had a girlfriend too, but now both single
I told her how I feel about her and she said that she always felt like that too but she is not ready for relation ship right now. But when we hang out she greets me with a worm hug and a kiss on the cheek, sits very close touches me on the chest when giving a hug, touches me with her feet at the movies, etc
I backed off a little once she told me she is not ready,I dont want to pressure her. How will I know if she wants to take this into another level? She wont make the first move, she is little shy for that and I dont want to stick my neck out again if she is not ready

I think that's nice of you she probably wants to but like you said she is shy maybe if she takes you some where or act diff rent and keeps go in to you and dressing diff rent for you to notice and for her to go to the next level faster if she wears something or does something to hair that she dint really do complement her and tell her she is pretty!:)

Taking the step from friendship to relationship can be one of the hardest things to do ... if the feelings aren't mutual, then you pretty much crash, burn and lose that friendship (yup, that is the voice of experience speaking ...). But congratulations on honestly talking to her ... sounds like the risk paid off.

I would wholeheartedly agree with giving the woman time and space during a hard time in her life ... you can be supportive as a friend but you won't get anywhere with pushing anything more. But, by the sounds of things, she has survived the divorce and is ready and willing to move on with you.

As you have spoken with her before about where things stand and might go with you two, why not just speak to her again? The hardest part of that whole conversation is bringing up the topic in the first place. You've done that so just what is stopping you from sitting down with her again?

You have a lot of information to work with. You know she likes you too, but she isn't ready for a relationship. Don't push it. You already hang out as friends, and she may be feeling a little weird since you are friends with the ex-husband too. There is that to think about. How close are the two of you? And she may be thinking of that too. Anyway, let her tell you when she is ready. You don't want to be the rebound man, those usually don't work out. Keep hanging out, notice if her behavior changes. She seems like she wants to keep it flirty for a while. She may need to go out with others to see what she has in you. Take it slow. And go out with others too, that might be just what she needs to make a move on you.

I don't know her but I can only guess that because she just came out of a marriage she wants some time to be free, have her own rules, and no one to report to (so to speak). It seems obvious she does like you and I am sure your attention is very flattering to her right now and also gives her a place to fall back in to and be comfortable again after a divorce.
My advice to you is do everything she wants, be very sweet, listen, and support her. If you want her for a long-term ship, do this and she will probably love you for being so gentle, warm, and slow with her. Giving her a chance to settle into being single again.
However, if you are just looking to try her out because you always liked her, then just hang out with her as you are and do not worry about how she feels and enjoy it and whatever may happen.
Also, listen to what she tells you about what her husband never did, and DO what he couldn't, this will make her sink in your arms. Don't rush and respect what she has been through and I think you are on the right track.
Hope this helps!

Well letting her know how you feel was very important, if she didn't know, especially being shy, she probably would have ignored the interest that she has in you. Communication is going to be the main thing that I can stress to you about your situation. If you communicate to her and let her know that it would be important to you if she would let you know if she is ever ready to have an actual relationship with you, it is not going to put any pressure on her and it will relieve most of the pressure off of you, after that let your heart and your emotions take a break, and well, just let things happen, you will be suprised what god, or whatever you believe in, will do for you as far as your relationships go.

Even though she seems to have feelings for you, she still just got out of a relationship with someone she was married to. And she had to have been in love with him at one point. Her touching your chest and all is just showing affection and appreciation for you being in her life. She might even be worried about ruining your friendship which I can definitely understand. I'm in the same boat. I go to college with a guy who is 25 and I'm 20. We started talking as friends a month ago, and we are taking thing slow, because one, he just gone through a divorce from his wife of 2 years and they dated for 5 years. Also, he could be moving after he finishes his class. It's not easy to jump into another relationship after being in a long term one, because you don't want that same heart break. i understand, and even though I want him to accept me as his girlfriend, I'm comfortable with being his friend. I kinda pressured him, but apologized for it, because I really like him. Just take things slowly, you know if you really want her in the end.

Well, it sounds to me like she's obviously interested in you, but she's scared of getting serious/close with anyone so soon. I'd say just continue doing what you're doing by taking it one day at a time and give her hugs and kisses on the cheek back...and eventually if you want to try and take it further...i'd think she might be interested.

She doesnt sound shy to me. Just not aggressive. I would continue taking it slow. Dont back off any if she is ok with how you are now. She will let you know if things are going too quickly, but she will welcome anything she is ready for.
Dont worry about sticking your neck out......you gotta go for what you want.
Think about it.....the worst thing that can happen is that you get turned down this time. It sounds like she is definately interested.....and persistance will get you everywhere. If you like her, keep persueing her.

A girl is deceiving (spelling) in many ways. Each individual person has a side that no one should know. In my view this side should never be touched or even figured out. This is what makes each of us intriguing (spelling) or mysterious. You will know. It's not your job to figure it out or find when. It's like predicting the future. You can't and your not suppose to even though you want too. She knows the truth now about you and that is what matters.

Those who can't wait will never see the light because they are taken by what god never intended us to claim.

ok ya girls are complicated. but the best thing is flirt back with her wait a little and see what happens she will give you some type of thing to let you know she wants you to do something or ready to move the next level with you. So just wait and see.
