If it has been properly stored, it is never too old to drink. If it looks cloudy, it's no good.

Other than Beer or cheap Spirits no Intoxicacating substance is too old to drink. Comeing from a experienced drinker. Drink away!

rum lasts a very long time, it can even go in the freezer to keep..
rum shelf life is different from food shelf life and can last for years...

Rum, vodka, whiskey, bourbon, gin, etc.. will never go bad even if the bottle has been opened.
