We have one fertilized chicken egg, it's just about a day old, and we have no clue how to 'raise' it. We want it to be healthy when it hatches into a chick. Can you tell us what to do?

But basically like everyone else you need to get an incubator or you could use an anjustable desklamp as a heat source. But If you want the best advice do a web search.

Hope all goes well!

You might give it to a brooding hen to hatch it for you. You need an incubator that has a constant temperature of 99-102 degrees, 100-101 is desirable and the humidity needs to be 86-88% or the egg will dry out too soon. 21 days later, it might hatch. The egg needs to be turned 3-5 times a day. If it hatches without difficulty, hand feeding with a hand feeding formula will be necessary every 2 hours around the clock. This is exhaustive work best left to mother nature. Good luck and best wishes.

you can either have the hen set on it until it hatches and take the chick from their are you will have to get an incubator and keep the egg warm until it hatches. You can make your own incubator with a heat lamp but you have to be very careful not to get the egg to hot or you will just cook it.

An incubator would work to keep it warm. If you don't have one, you could buy one or make one using a heating pad and a timer that turns off the heating pad every half hour or so...You might want to put a towel between the egg and the heating pad, too, if you do it that way.

let the hen sit on it and take it away when it starts to hatch ......you will hear little peeping noises from inside the egg. Just be careful momma doesn't get you first.

make it a warm spot with a hatching light. flannel works well, and a small bulb... warm - is the the magic word, and turn it several times a day
