How is it that Satanists, do not worship Satan? It doesn't make any sense!

Satanism is not devil worship, Satanists don't believe in any god(s). The link at the bottom of my post has a ton of information about Satanism that was written by a Satanist. Here's a bit of it to answer your question:
"Satan is not a real, living entity, conscious or a physical thing that can be interacted with. It is a symbol, something ethereal, something that basically doesn't exist except as an emotional attachment and personal dream. Just like Buddhists do not worship Buddha, Satanists hold up Satan as an ultimate principal rather than an object of literal worship. Satan inspires and provokes people, like all (honest) religions the ultimate point is self-help. God believers have a different opinion on what Satan is, but their opinion is a result of their religion. Satanism's Satan is much more eclectic and multicultural than to be defined by Christianity or Islam."

It all got started just to make fun of Christians. True Satanists don't even believe that satan exists.
In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

They are atheists who just want to piss off Christians. In other words, they call themselves satanists to show that they oppose Christianity. There are REAL satanists who actually worship Satan they are called theistic satanists.

it is quite simple. according to the founder of the church of satan, Anton Lavey. Satan and god do not exist. Satanism is a religion that he designed to Reward the natural instincts and feelings of the human being.
christianity has made a business out of making people feel guilty for every thing that their body feels. satanism is the simple reverse of that.
now Devil Worship is something completly different.

okay well first of all their are two main types of satanism one form is theistic satanism which views satan as a force in the world and some even bow down and pray to him not all do this however and the second type of satanism is atheistic or better yet philosophical satanism which is a modern form of satanism which anton szandor lavey is the founder of it and the church of satan anyway philosophical satanism is more like a self worship type of satanism where in they don't believe in satan or god or heaven and hell satan is symbolic of mankind's carnal nature anyway here are a couple of links to help you out
