It all depends. Sometimes the problem is on your end, sometimes the problem is on the other users end.
When limewire isn't downloading things for you, check your internet connection by looking at a website through your browser. If I try and download too many songs at once, I'll lose my wireless connection entirely so I have to reboot my router.
Another possibility is that you don't have your firewall set up properly to allow connections to and from limewire. Check on limewire's FAQ section for help on that issue. Remember, people often have several firewalls. One on their router, one that Windows "provides" and possibly another one like MacAfee or Norton that you purchased or received free through your ISP.
Finally, they're may not be any sources available for it. There's usually a little number to the left of the file name that explains how many people have the file you're looking for. Choose files with larger numbers and you'll get your files quicker.

Because the sources of the file are busy or cant be found, then you have to press "find sources", or "resume
Oh, it's not true that Limewire is only good for music, because I've downloaded many movies (V for Vendetta, the Departed, the prestige, Babel, interview with the vampire, happy feet, the devil wears prada), and they all have great quality, you just have to be patient, (and high speed internet for making it faster), and when you see that it says "need more sources" or the "awaiting sources" thing lasts too long, then jump onto another file.

yea videos dont work for me either. limewire is only good for the songs not vids.

limewire runs on people who have it have to be on limewire because otherwize it will not work so at te bottom press "find sorces".

Probably because the sources that had the file are swamped or they aren't up.
