I'm sure some Muslims will try and and justify an answer, but I think the real answer is that there is no answer. Maybe when Muslims stop killing each other there will be an answer.

I know its not only Muslims killing each other its PEOPLE killing each other - some are Christians, etc. Also, I put "Allah" in quotes and bowed to the English speaking readers to clarify that I meant "the one the Muslims believe to be God". Some VERY interesting answers here!

I have to agree with the comment that Allah and God are the same thing. Nevermind.

Someone who calls themselves Muslim are not necessarily Muslim. Most believe Allah condems murder. These Muslims will also be condemnd.

People killing in the name of religious belief is a worry for most religions.

You make a very good point. The Qu'ran states that Muslims must accommodate other Muslims. They must live in harmony and protect each other. However, Muslims are human beings and they suffer from the frailties of being human. They love. They hate. They suffer. They kill. The Qu'ran and other books of religion regardless of the faith cannot prevent man from being himself (herself). This is the way man was created and if he/she lives for another few centuries perhaps things will change. However, the way we are going we will not make it to 2250 and beyond. Perhaps another creature will replace us in the future?

Whether or not Allah is God has nothing to do with why Muslims are killing each other. These are human-made disputes based on differing ideas of what Islam is and is supposed to be. It doesn't mean that Allah wants it that way.

Because Muslims are no better or worse at getting along with each other than Christians and Jews are.

christians kill other christians, too. it's people who do these things, not God.
Allah IS God, (there's only one) and you cannot hold the actions of humans against God.

It is not an if. If your question was translated into Arabic it would say: "If Allah is Allah...." Allah just means God. There is no other word for God in Arabic.

Muslims kill Muslims for the same reason Protestants kill Catholics and Catholics kill Protestants in Northern Ireland. It has nothing to do with the nature of the religions.

Islam and Christianity are religions of peace.

but there is an answer.
allah is NOT God.
there is only one true God, Jehovah.
allah is a false god,
which clearly explains all the killing.

are you talking about iraq? that was because saddam abused his power and he mistreated shias. now shias want revenge. all muslims are not like that obviously. i have both shias and sunnis in my family. how does that prove anything? if 2 christians got into a fight does that mean christianity is false?

They are fighting for Supremacy and leadership.

allah , the moon god had nothing at all to do with the fighting.

The Great Pretender (Mo.) was born in 570AD or 571AD and died in 632AD.
Mo left no instructions as to which son or whoever should lead the cult after his death.
The Tikrit moon worshipers have been fighting and killing each other over the leadership ever since.
That is 1,375 (?) years....so much for the religion of PEACE !

Shia and Sunni both want to lead the pack.
