yeah i had the same problem until this year i decided that my future was more important than thinking about this guy all the time. i still think about him, but i realize that school is way more important. seriously....you just have to get into a habit of going home and doing your homework and just pay attention in class all the time. it will benefit you in ways you would never know. boys are attracted to smart girls. and when your older and your kids are trying to get an education and they ask for help with h/w...wouldnt you want to be able to help them? instead of being like uhhh yeah i never payed attention so i dont know. just think about stuff like that and how important it is to get your education. what you do now, decides your future. i know its hard to forget him and just everything, but you've got to be strong and do it. if you dont, your gunna wish you did. anyways, good luck!:)

You are already on the right track because you realize that there is a problem with your study habits, and you also realize how important it is for you to do well and get good grades.
You seem to be very smart because a lot of people your age would not have given as much intelligent thought to this situation that you have so you are to be commened for that.
As far as your homework, you might want to express your concerns about falling behind with your teachers and your parents or guardian. Let them know that you realize you are falling behind, but you want to catch up and do well. They may appreciate the fact that you are taking interest in doing well, and they may have some advice for you as to how best you can catch up.
Ask them for advice on becoming more organized and making a schedule for all of your homework.
Try not to focus so much on your boyfriend because as you said once you graduate he probably will not matter to you, and even if he does matter, you will still want to do well in school so that you can get into the university you want to attend. If he is a quality man, then he will want you to do well and succeed.
Regardless of how he feels, you have the right idea about commiting yourself to your studies because that's going to take you a long way, if you don't give up.
You said you are sick of people thinking you are dumb? Well based on what you have written here, I would never call you dumb. You are very aware of your problem, and you know what you want out of life. Very smart.

it is all about the will power. you have to make up your mind that you are going to do something and be willing to stick to it. about organization, get a folder for every class you have and only place the papers for that class in that particular folder. this will help out for organization, for scheduling, what i always did was when i got home from school, even if it was on a friday, i did any homework that i had that way i didn't have to worry about forgetting it or being rushed. did i like it no, did i want to do it no. did i have better things to do yes but school is mandatory and if you are going to try to have any kind of a life, itis important to do well. down the road you will be glad you buckled down. also, when you know you have a test coming up, study three days in advance for about an hour each day and eat a healthy breakfast the morning of the test. it does work. this is a start for you. hope this helps you out. good luck.

First of all community college might be your "thing" seeing as how you are failing a couple of classes. Believe me I was once like you, exactly in your position in fact and I hated the idea of CC. But I went and it was the best thing for me cause I transferred and now I'm a student at UC Berkeley and could not be more grateful to community colleges. Anyway, try and think of your goals and focus on them esp. the short term goals... they help keep you centered! good luck sweetie!

HOMEWORK=$$$$$$$$
BAD GRADES= HOMELESSNESS
doing your homework regularly is like securing your bank account. having bad grades will get you no where but good grades will get you anything, continuing your education after high school is everything, does working at McDonalds sound appealing? Spacing out your homework works well, do some when you get home, then alittle more before bed, and go to school a little early and do the rest.If you need anymore advice look into the words of Lewis Black

As you are a woman, normally I would say that you deserve to fail and wind up in the gutter of society, at best you will probably be a golddigging psychotic drug addicted whore like the majority of Western women. However, I am feeling benevolent today, and I hate to see anyone get screwed over by school, especially since I think public schooling is just a damn brainwashing factory. So because I hate the school system more, here are some tips to help you out with your homework.
1) Forget about this guy. Take my word on this, things that seem like your whole world now will barely even matter to you in ten years. This includes the guy you're talking about. If he's any kind of guy he probably wants you to do well in your classes as well, and wouldn't mind being away from you for a while in order for you to improve.
2) Get organized, and get good school supplies. My suggestion would be to get at least two folders for every class you take (one for quizzes, one for homework and/or labs), and one 1 inch binder to hold notes. Keep all your paper in a big binder. It's much easier to stay organized if you have each seperate subject in it's own binder than if you use one large binder and use seperators to seperate the classes: some teachers are morons and change how they want your binder arranged every 3 or 4 weeks. If you have a class in a seperate binder, this shouldn't be an issue. Also, make sure that you have plenty of paper, and pencils. If you don't want to break the bank on school supplies, shop at a dollar store for everything but paper (because dollar stores have cheap paper).
3) Make a cutoff point, and take inventory of what you don't know and what you need to learn from that point on. A lot of classes have assignments which depend on you knowing stuff that you learned previously in the class. Obviously you don't know stuff that was taught earlier. Therefore it is pointless for you to simply become organized, and try your best, if you don't know what you needed to know up till now. Meet with each one of your teachers, get a summary of what you should know in each class up to, two weeks from now. This will allow you time to review what you should have known, and catch up to that point. Take refresher notes if you must. Build up a base of knowledge which will summarize the knowledge you have been missing. Once you get to the cuttoff point, begin studying regularly, placing all assignments, labs, and notes in their proper binders. Take each assignment one at a time. Don't look at is as going to school for 9 or 10 months, look at is as "I'm trying to get an A on this paper in front of me right now." If you mess up, don't get discouraged. Acknowledge that you failed on one paper, and see how you failed to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Anyway, I doubt that this will do you any good, as you are a female, and females generally are a waste of space. However I hope that this helped someone out there through their school year.

Schoolwork should always come before a guy. You are just going to have to push yourself.
I am in University, and separate the time between guys and school. If it affects my work, I know I will be in deep trouble.
It is a matter of focus, and understanding the school work you have to do. Pushing yourself.

To sum up this as well as life in general remember that you will get out of life exactly what you put into it. If you expect nothing of yourself that is exactly what your life will amount to. You know what you need to do now quit making excuses and and show people how smart you really are. Now go for it--
