Two things should be eliminated in a young girl. First the possibility it is a type of growth plate fracture called scfe. The other may be but unlikely avascular necrosis of the head of the femur called Legg-Perthe's disease. You should go with your parents to a doctor to be evaluated.

Try alternating ice with heat... ice for 20 minutes, heat for 20, relax for 20. If one or the other irritates your back, then just do the one that's comfortable for you. Also, if it's nerve type pain, try lying flat on the floor, legs stretched out. Bring one leg up to your chest, pull it in with your arms until you feel a slight pulling sensation to the back of your thigh... pull your leg into your chest until the pulling sensation is just to the point of uncomfortable. Hold for a slow count of 10. Repeat with opposite leg. Do at least 5 with each side, more if you can tolerate it. Cat stretches may also afford you some relief. I would advise you to avoid taking any medications, OTC or otherwise, at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. You want to go in uncomfortable so that your physician has a better chance of finding the culprit.

Well alot of aches and pains at this age, are considered "growing pains", but then there are other things also....
Honestly, You need to talk to your Mom, let her know how often it is hurting, and how severe..
Maybe she could get you to a doctor, and have it checked out.
My daughter is 14 and has alot of pains, she runs Track at school, and has been checked out by 2 diff doctors...she is fine, just muscles growing...
I hope this helps some..
And if it gets to severe, let your Mom know..

I think you should tell your mom or dad. A doc might want to evaluate your pain!
