My company switched my cell service from Verizon to t-mobile when i got my new blackberry. I received email notification that i needed to pay the "breach of contract" fee, but I forgot and then a few months later it's showing up as a stain on my credit report. Is there anything I can do?

If your company switched your cell phone provider then there shouldn't be a 'black mark' on your personal credit rating. Something doesn't make sense here.

Everyone is correct. Contest it by sending a registered letter directly to the credit bureaus. Also, get in contact with your company's HR department and Verizon. This is a genuine mistake and should be able to be cleared out pretty easily. The trick is, getting it erased from all three credit reports.

If your company switched you shouldn't they have paid the fee? If its a company cell phone then the charges should have gone to them. Talk too your boss and let them know whats going on. If in fact the fee was yours to pay then call verizon, find out if you pay them whats owed if they would be willing to retract/update the information on your report once they receive payment.

Verizon didn't screw up your credit report, you did by not paying the fee. What you can do is pay it.
