Yes. In a nutshell: Go to Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove, careful here - scroll down to the program you want to uninstall and click remove. S-T-O-P. The system automatically highlights the next program in line. Be careful you don't uninstall that.

After you click remove on the program you with to uninstall, leave this. Click o.k. or whatever to indicate you are finished.

Now, Restart to clear memory. Then reinstall through Add/Remove or insert the CD, click Start, Run, and click on the appropriate drive.

Sometimes, you can go to START | PROGRAMS and open the folder for the software you want to uninstall and you will see an uninstall program there. Other times, you have to go to START | SETTINGS | CONTROL PANEL | ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS and find the program by name. Then you REMOVE (click CHANGE/REMOVE) it. When it is done, you reboot and then you can re-install it.

Uninstall the program and then reinstall it.
It might have something to do with your operating system or you memory size....which won't be resolved by reinstalling
