aprietes comes from the verb apretar = to squeeze, to hug
but also to tighten, to clench, clutch, so it all depends on the sentence.

paraje = spot, place
trasladar = to move, transport, remove, transfer (from a place into another)
tanque de combustible de un automóvil = gas tank of a car
que se dirigía = that was going to or towards
kilos = kilo, kilogram
protestan ante los ... = to protest against the kirchner to avoid the clearing of the wood
damnificados = injured party
desalojo = evacuation, to dislodge
se instaló = to install oneself, to establish oneself (past tense)
reclamar = to claim, protest
su directa interveción .... = his/her direct intervention to the advance of the striking machines
tres traficantes traian cocaina = three dealers had cocaine
productores acordaron en ... = producers agreed on 7 the kilogram of tobacco
paraje = spot, place
trasladar en el tanque de .... = to transport in the gas tank of a car
transcurso = lapse, course of time
anunciarán el acuerdo que .... = they will announce the agreement which already would have been closed

That was a lot of questions. Good luck!
