Im making a cake for my airforce hubby to celebrate his promotion. Im thinking of either making little cupcakes each with a tiny toy jet on top, or a long cake that looks like a runway with jets, or a light blue cake with some sort of clouds and jets. Any ideas what I can use to simulate a runway or clouds or grass? and should I do the long cake or the cupcakes? any other ideas are very appreiciated!

clouds made from Redi-Whip
and grass can be made by using coconut and green food coloring.....
sounds totally cool!

I like the idea of the long runway cake. If you are good at cake decorating, it would be very cool. If not, go to your local bakery and have them do it for you. It is probably worth the cost if you are the same one having the party for your husband's promotion. Would be nice to splurge on this special occasion.

why don't you just do a round cake with the air force emblem?
