Far sighted means just that, you can see things at a distance but your close up vision isn't good. Near sighted, mean you can see things up close very well, but those objects at a distance are a blur. There are varying degrees of both conditions, my daughter was so nearsighted she could barely see passed the end of her nose! After she got glasses, she suddenly realized that there are signs that hung from the store ceiling!!! She had quite a day seeing all those things that she didn't even know were there before.

Its referring to people who require classes. When these people get glasses its because they are either near sided or far sided.

Near Sided- means they can only see things that are close up without blurred vision (ex. while reading a book)

Far Sided- can only see far away without blurred vision (ex. While watching a movie at the theater)

I happen to be nearsighted and wear distance glasses for it. Far sighted means you can only see things far away. Nearsighted means you can only see up close, like me. These eye problems are easily remedied with eyeglasses and contacts.
