Once you get a *proper* analysis from a *qualified* doctor, there are many approaches to treatment.
Medication works much of the time, when it is *taken as directed and maintained until a doctor tells you to cut back.*
One thing you shouldn't be depressed about is that there is no cure for depression. There almost always is.
Please pay particular attention to the words between the asterisks.

Could be a hormonal imbalance or just about anything. If your too shy at this stage to see the Doc, go down to your local chemist and grab some St Johns Wort / Hypericum. Can't be used WITH prescription anti-depresents, but will give you something natural to to begin with.

you need to rule out physical problem first--and then see mental health m.d.---don't let regular doctor treat "depression" w/ samples from drug sale closet---be open to taking meds --be patient- it might take awhile to find what works for you---you may find that you can't talk to everyone (nor should you) about "your diagnosis"---you'll feel better about sharing info when you feel 'normal' again--it could take up to 8 weeks for med trial --again, be patient and hang on

Depression is treatable but you need to see your doc to get treatment for it. You do not just "get out of it." If you have depression see your doc for treatment.
