Depending on your confines and your environs. If at school, talk about the professor and the class lectures. If at church, talk of the spiritual matters. You see where this goes. If he responds interestingly he likes you or finds you enjoyable. Remain friends until you are sure he has a attraction to you. Just be friendly.
