May sound weird to ask, but I need to find a very grotesque disease with no cure for school work. It can be as rare as a monarch butterfly in Antartica, but I need one. It could even be extinct, I just need something without a cure and something particularly distructive to the body. Nothing caused by radiation please...

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is a horrible disease with no cure. The body basically attacks itself. In my opinion, it is worse even than HIV/AIDS because it is not caused by any action on the part of the person who has it.

That's easy, CJD (creutzfeld-jacob disease). It's like mad cow.

What happens is a normal protein in your brain changes form. Then everytime it touches another protein it changes that one too, and they attach to eachother. So it just keeps growing and growing. They also break apart when they get big and spread out. As the protein crystalls grow they kill cells. This takes place mostly in the brain. Then when a cell dies the other cells around it absorb the deadd cell and the dangerous growing protein crystalls. Then it kills those cells too. Your brain keeps losing brain cells until you die.

The symptoms are very bad. You just lose control over your body, until you can't move (cause your brain is heavily damaged). Then you just lay in a spot until you die. Sometimes there are behavoral problems before you lose the ability to move. Like the mad cows get paranoid and fear people and attack them sometimes. Humans can get crazy too.

There is no cure and you are guarenteed dead if you get it, and possibly the worst part about it, it takes a long time. Sometimes it takes 10 years. Sometimes it takes 2 years. The whole time your brain is gradually dying.

Cancer can be cured by the body, I know a brain cancer survivor. He was diagnosed terminal in 18 months and he's now pronounced cured. (6 years later)

“Just think how insightful a book that actually came from a Creator would be... Beautiful mathematics, comprehensive laws of physics, clear biology, consistent morality and ethics among other gems. Instead we get a bizarre book on talking snakes, burning bushes, slaves, neolithic philosophy and a strange preoccupation with everyone's sex life”. ~

Herpes isn't curable and if you've ever seen a full outbreak of the lesions (sores) you would consider it pretty gross.
