Okay so to start. I am 16. Well I live in the country. And I show calves and ride horses (I know you are thinking what does this have to do with anything but just keep reading) Alright, so I lived here for 3 years and. A few weeks ago, my dog got out and my neighbor brought her back. We talked for awhile. (He is 17 btw and goes to a different school 45 mins. away) Well I really kinda liked him after that..sorta..I thought he was cute, and sweet. Well I looked him up on myspace and found his profile. It said he was looking for a cute country girl, that likes to show calves and ride horses..so I was like...YEA!! Then I read down and it said he likes to look into his g/f beautiful blue eyes. Well this kinda scared me so I waited awhile before I messaged it. I waited about a week then told him who I was and asked him how his cattle looked. Well he answered me and asked me to be his friend. When I looked at his profile he had taken the g/f part off..So..We talked for awhile on myspace....

....and he gave me his number. So I gave him mine. He called me a couple days later and we talked for about an hour. He also called me the next night but we didn't talk as long. Well the day after (Friday) was his and my homecoming. I decided not to ask him to mind because I think it'd just be a little wierd. I'm very awkward around guys. But he asked me to go to his, and I decided to just go to mine because I just would be too scared without my friends and him, being the only one I 'knew' He messaged me saying that he like me. I messaged him back and said I really like you to, but we are just getting to know each other. So..This brings us to today. I started working my cattle and he came out and started working his. He came over (w/ his calf) and we talked a little. I was just SO nervous I couldn't think of anything to say. He did most of the talking. And the rest was just awkward silence. What should I do? I'm SO scared to be around guys. I don't know what to say or do. Any suggestio

I'm sorry. My question is how to I get more secure about talking to guys. What do I say when it is just silence. What do I do with my hands where do I look? I just kept looking around.

Honey dont be afraid to talk to him, if he likes you it can only get better, give him a chance it may be the best thing that happened to you. Open up to him and tell him how you feel and explain to him that you are shy and really sorry for not going to his homecoming with him. If you talk to him and tell him how you feel you may score some mager points. Even though he goes to school 45 mins away he lives next door to you and you can see him all the time. So talk to him and let him know how you feel.

To me this seems kinda obvious. Ok, first the description of the girls he like fits u perfectly. I think he likes u, and put that on too see if u liked him. Then after he asked u too be his "friend" he took the gf part off because he gonna get to kno u better and brake up with his gf. I kno cause almost the same thing happened to me. (I am still dating the guy : - )

Ask him if he will go somewhere he will be seen with you. Take away the date pressure. If he goes with you in public, he may be interested in dating you. Be patient.
