yes, there is forgiveness for all sin. God forgives sin, but some sins cannot be made up for by the people you've hurt. So though God's forgiven and forgotten, you and the people you've hurt probably hurt.

Suicide is a tricky thing. The Bible doesn't say there is no forgiveness for it, but you shouldn't take your chances, as repentance is limited to the physical realm. Your life, if you are saved, should not be taken into your own hands, as your life become's God's property.

The only sin which is recorded as unforgiveable is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. *This is because when you stay in a state of rejection, denial and bad-mouthing the Holy Spirit, the One calling you to Himself (God the Trinity), you become desesitized to God and you never can realize or acknowledge when He calls you. No man comes unto the Father unless the Spirit calls him. He calls everyone, but when you've blocked all forms of communication (physical, mental, spiritual) then there's no real way you can get to God.*

Jesus Christ died for ALL sin. As long as the person who committed such sins come to God for true heartfelt repentance, then they are forgiven.

God does not grade sin
For we have all fallen short of God's standard, because we were born with a sinful nature. It's this sinful nature that needs to be dealt with, and that can be, through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ which was shed on the cross of Calvary.

God will forgive all sin. David is a perfect example of a sinner saved by grace. He committed murder and adultery, but then confessed and asked God to forgive him. However, God made him pay the consequences for his sins. His baby son died as well as many other things went wrong in his life after his sin. God also forgave Mosses who was a murderer and the thief on the cross. He loves us and will forgive us, but like a good father, he disciplines his children for their sins.

Jesus didn't just die for sins such as lying or stealing only. He died for all sins, including murder, rape etc. All sin is evil in God's sight and He wishes to wipe away our sins with the sacrifice of Jesus and forgive us.

The idea of a "mortal" sin is a Catholic doctrine, not Christian. God forgives all sins if you are truly repentant and ask for forgiveness. In God's eyes, rape and murder are just as bad as lying and styling. Sin is sin. There is no difference.

There is no sin "too big" that Christ did not cover on the cross. It was Christ's sacrifice that paid for EVERY sin that we commit. We need to ask for forgiveness, repent and accept Christ as our Savior, and then we are forgiven. God forgives the WHOLE WORLD- it is our responsibility to ask for Him for forgiveness and repent. All sins are covered by Jesus.

Who says he won't forgive suicide? That's not written anywhere.

As for the other sins you mentioned, you have to repent, which means more than just "feeling sorry"...it means turning from that sin to do it no more. Then he will forgive you. But that doesn't necessarily mean you won't have to pay the consequences of that sin. For instance, you may be arrested and go to prison, but if you truly repent, you will be forgiven my God.

People love to believe that the idea of mortal sin and non-mortal ones are inventions of the Catholic Church -- but they are wrong. I will prove -- it is very biblical.

John tells us in his letter (1 John 5:16-17) that there ARE indeed two categories of sin -- deadly (mortal) and venial (Latin; venia; means pardonable).

16If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that. 17All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

In fact, mortal sin is SO bad, John does not even recommend praying for it!!!!!

Incidentally, according to John, to hate your brother is considered as murder: (1 JN 3:15) 15"Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him."

As for suicides -- what of those people who are driven to suicide as a result of meds thatthey are on? Suicide is no longer a sin....I cannot imagine the incredible anguish a person goes through as they contemplate such a drastic measure. Suicide is more and more seen as an illness in itself....a person who commits suicide feels very, very alone.

God will forgive you. Even saying bad words is a mortal sin. Stealin g is a mortal sin. Every sin is mortal sin. God is merciful.

All sin stands on equal ground. None of it is acceptable to God.
The Bible says there is only one sin that is unforgiveable, the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. (Rejecting the testimony of the Holy Spirit, Who always speaks of Jesus Christ.)
It might be an eye opener for some poeple to realize that we'll be in heaven with the likes of forgiven rapists, forgiven murderers, forgiven terrorists, sinners of all sorts who are forgiven.
