I had to do that before i just suggest that you keep it to yourself until you know the time is right for you to sit down with your mom and that she wont freak when you do decide to tell her. And as for getting your bf a secret gift that your mom wont know about go out with your friends to go shoping and dont let your mom see it.

How are you going out with him if your are not allowed to date? What's your dad say or is he not in the picture? What's the big deal? Your seeing him for Valentine's day is not going to be a marriage proposal. Tell you mom that she needs to lighten up just a little. Be nice about it.

Tell her that you like him, and ask if there is anything you can say to change her mind, like meeting him or his family or something. If you still aren't allowed to go out with him, buy him a small box of chocolates or a nice card or something, nothing to extravagant or bold, but enought to send a little flirty vibe. You should stop seeing him and honor your parents wishes,
Tell your mom and apologize for not minding her rules.
Part of maturity is realizing that if you don't pay the bills and feed and house yourself, Someone else makes the rules and you should respect that.
Your behavior is childish and a practicing adult does not behave that way. Granted most of you peers probably think its cool to disrespect their parent but only fools disrespect their elders. That's why you r generation looks like a bunch of worthless spoiled stock.

This won't be what you want to hear, but you should honor your parents (your mom, in this case) and not date. Much heartbreak is caused in the early years because they would not listen to the wisdom of their parents. Good luck.
