If it's not acid reflux, then you're causing irritation to your esophagus and/or throat by causing mucus and particles to be violently projected upward.

This is most likely acid reflux. When you cough the pressure created by the tensing of you abdomen may push some stomach acid past the stomach and into the oesophagus, causing a burning like sensation

It could be a bronchial infection or a reaction to some sort of allergy. Go see a Dr.

You may have swallowed my bic lighter....give it back. It sounds like you have broncitis. You should never rely on the net for your health....call your doctor or better yet.....find the phone number in the yellow pages for "Ask a Nurse" its free. Get well soon.

it sounds as if you have an infection ...you probably need antibiotics
