Lets start with the use it totally depends what type of user you are for business i must agree check the compatibility of business softwares (if you have any specifically designed for your business) that they can work on Vista.
Now the second thing is, will windows Vista be running smoothly on your current system configuration i.e. Processor speed, ram, storage and video card.
I m running Windows Vista Ultimate and have tested this on three different machines the best hardware configuration matched are quite high which are Inter Celeron D 3.2GHZ, 1GB Ram, 60GB Hardisk, 256 MB Graphics card.
Now it is entirely up to you if your computers are of these specifications of if you could afford to upgrade them to minimum requirements.
For media packages specially working with pictures and multimedia it is far better than XP.
I don't know who is your ISP but I've used it with BT broadband it works fine.

Ok I might not be able to answer some of your question but a few I think....
I haven't used it so only going what I have read from other user experience and the praises and points Microsoft have demostrated. If you have business applications that you need running on the system then check out with the manufactures of the products to see if they are supported because there can be some small compatible issues in Vista wiith products that might not be updated, same with device drivers.
For photos it's brilliant as you can use a filter which will find photos quick, a bit better than the management in XP. As for speed and load time it really depends what system you are running because there are different versions of Vista lus for the new 3d look it might need a good graphics card in your system.
Hope that helps....

Vista. some human beings say Vista makes use of up a lot equipment ram. that is authentic. Vista makes use of those ram to % up the computing device. Thats why there is not any longer a lot loose ram. Xp wastes those loose ram doing no longer some thing. Vista is even extra like minded than XP than u imagine that is. Vista hasn't any difficulty to me for a million year already. Vista is swifter even as beginning software and beginning the computing device. some human beings evaluate XP because they're too used to XP or they're gamer. it variety of feels vista is slower in video games through 2-5 fps. No enormous deal. VISTa!

I would advise buying Vista yet, as there will be as there always is with new operating systems, lots of bugs and issues that need ironing out. I would let it be on the market at least six months. Or you are going to find yourself downloaded updates every ten minutes. Vista is a upgrade of XP and if your happy with XP I wouldn't waste your money just yet!

vista uses 512 ram just to run so if that is all the ram you have
expect your pc to slow down a little
for business this program might make thing a little easyer
but for me i say stay with xp untill they iron out all the bugs
and there is going to be bugs .
and the price will come down on the better virsion.
the gamer and anyone that wants to run video programs you
better get 2 gig of ram coz this vista is a hog

XP pro is still fine for most business applications; it'll run 3D design software etc. Wait until Service Pack 1 has been released for any MS OS before upgrading!

DO NOT GET IT!!!
I have got it, sure it works on everything, however it is a waist of money! I can't to anything right (not that XP was any better) but my best guess is that they just changed the appearance and did not fix any bugs or viruses. DO NOT GET IT!!!
I REPEAT, DO NOT GET IT!!!
