I think I know a way to digitize things and reproduce them in the real world. I won't get into any details here. Anyway it involves turning something into energy and recreating it somewhere else(this isn't the full idea, it's still being discussed and revised) Anyway the point is, if you did that to someone and they were to be "printed" out on the other side, would they still have their soul. Would I have to use the same energy I turned him into so he could keep his soul. And please don't use this to point out flaws in the basic concept, just answer the main question

The human spirit/soul is not the same kind of "energy" as the energy we know about in the material universe (as in Matter, Energy ,Space and Time). There are some similar properties but that doesn't make it the same as.
It is in fact separable from the body and the mind and the material universe, altho' obviously IN the material universe.
The soul or spirit ( you, in other words) is not a thing, like your mind or body.
Basically it is what is animating and using the body..... so
given that the body was not destroyed or made unusable it would probably continue to use it or animate it in the new location, just as before.

It's killing and cloning. But I read the body replaces every single cell in your body so what does it matter? I guess someone could argue the essence of our souls exists in our brain cells which do not replace themselves.

The "soul" is electricity in the brain, which too can be converted into energy. Therefore, you could technically transport the soul using your theory.

Yeah, I think during teleportation, the 'soul' part of the body, much like the "shadow" would be up for grabs by Satan in the middle worlds.

I dunno, Jesus basically "teleported" through a solid wall to get into a locked room with the disciples, and I'm assuming He kept His "soul".
