I am not a snob, I have been waiting for one for a while. It won't "fall apart" Louis, don't be jealous ahah, you need help. don't be calling me a "snitty" or whatever when you dont even know me. I am not a snob at all, I have just wanted a camera, so you can get a life.

To the first answer, thankyou for your info. But I am happy with "average" I don't need a professional camera, Im not even old enough for those, I am happy with that, just to capture special moments with friends and family. But thankyou & thanks to everyone who gives proper opinions and not rude ones =)

Have a look at steves-digicams.com, current best camera's:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/best_cameras.html
The X60 is not on the list of best camera's (don't forget the X60 design is two years old). If you can afford a new(er) camera, have a look at Steve's list.
Minolta DiMAGE X60:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_reviews/x60.html
Conclusion:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_reviews/x60_pg5.html
"The overall image quality was average for a 5-megapixel consumer camera.". And, i think that conclusion was for 2005.
Are you happy with '2005 average'?
If i would buy a new one right now, it probably would be one of the compact Canon SD series (SD700IS, or maybe the SD900).
Stay away from the Sony's. Sony isn't ashamed to use further unsecure DRM-software (in the future) on their audio CD's. That alone is enough to boycot the whole Sony company. (But, MS is even way worse then Sony, so a PS3 is always better then XBOX360). Sony uses it's own memory sticks; they aren't compatible with non-Sony equipment. That anohter con.
But ofcourse, if you don't have a camera right now, a X60 is way better then nothing :).
PS: mostly, only SLR's are called professional. (They are never compact.)
PS2: about capturing the special moments: be sure to backup regularly! If you backup to CDR's: you should know you should never keep them in the sunlight, then they become unreadable!! Keep them in a dark dry place, away from little children.
Also, take care of BOTH the underside and the upperside. Both surfaces should remain unscratched. Always only hold the CDR's at the edges. Fingerprints are a bad idea; you get scratches when cleaning the CD, and with fingerprints the CD can be unreadable (so, cleaning is then required).
And never bet on only ONE backup!! I use both an external HD and external computer as backup.
Sooner or later, every harddisk breaks down. Especially if you use intense harddisk applications, like continiously using P2P-software.
PS3: try always to keep the original photo's. If you, for example rotate a JPG-photo and re-save it, it'll highly probably re-encoded (which means the quality will degrade). So, i have one directory for the originals, and another one for the modified or rotated ones. Better don't store photo's on the C-drive. It's not wise to have it on the same drive-letter as your operating system.

Ignore them... what can he do to you?
Well heres my 2 cents.... Konica Minolta WAS a good company 30 years ago... it kinda fell apart on quality in the 80's. How do I know this? My dad owned a Konica Minolta SLR but when he wanted to upgrade the new camera broke on him the month after the warrenty expired. I do not recomend any Konica Minolta cameras because of their quality. Plus the X60 has been discontinued for about a year now.
I would recommond a Canon SD series camera. The SD900IS is the top of Canon Elph line. If you want to go cheaper there is the SD800IS or the SD700IS. The SD600 if you have to go cheaper.
Have fun choosing!

I think it is a good camera. It is discontinued, but that means nothing. Companies discontinue for lots of reasons mostly just because they make another model. If the camera was give to you, then you got a good deal, price-wise and lucky you are to get such a good model.

Pure garbage. It will fall apart as soon as the warranty has expired. An amateur kiddy camera for girlies who have to have daddy buy them one. Grow up you snitty.
