go to your local unemployment office;they will give you a print out of your benefits and tax withholdings for the 2006 tax year; this will give you the same info that your 1099G form has; then you can file your tax return without the benefit of having received the 1099G form; warning: the unemployment office is notorious for their printout info not matching the 1099G statements; in which case you may need to file an amended return after Feb 15.

It will be a 1099G, not a W2, but yes, you should get something. If you don't get it by mid-week next week, call the unemployment comp bureau and ask them to send you another copy.

Wait to file your return until you get it.

In 2009 first $2,4 hundred of Unemployment reward are Tax unfastened. in the experience that your unemployment reward are extra desirable than the submitting requirement, you're able to document the tax return. Or document if taxes have been withheld.

Did you ask them to withhold taxes? If so, perhaps that is why you didn't get a statement. I am in the same situation. I drew it for about a month while I relocated. I guess I have to hunt them down now and ask. I did have them take out taxes though.

call them for a statement, you probably do need it.
