I would find it hard to say which you can eat, it's easier to say which you can't. Don't eat cod, it's endangered. With tuna fishing dolphins get caught too and they're endangered, and I think there was a problem with herring too. Check for any fish with the MSC label (marine stewardship council - www.msc.org). Their website has quite a few products which you can buy in for example Tesco or Sainsbury's.

It's great to see that other people care too!

My personal opinion is that fish (and a whole bunch of other things) are fine to eat. (Some think plants have feelings, too).

To answer YOUR question, research a couple of articles. You will find a number of suggestions at http://www.real-restaurant-recipes.com/gourmet-seafood.html

Bottom line is to purchase, cook and enjoy natural, wild seafood. It is what was provided for us since the beginning of time.

Kippers (smoked herring) are very tasty and inexpensive as well. The should be readily available.
