Check out this website they give details, have a download for the form Standard Form (SF) 180, Request Pertaining to Military Records and list the addresses of each branch of the service.
Provide as much information as possible, make sure you specifically request medal/decoration replacement in the remarks, and send the form to the appropriate address

I have included a site where if you chose you could obtain free replacement medals; I did not include sites where you can purchase replacements or miniatures as if you chose that path they are easy to find. Go to one of the sites for Military Medals and they have all kind of displays I have my regulation ones in a large shadow box frame, while the miniatures are on a bar. I wear them at certain functions and he might like to do that too.

Have you lost the citations/certificates or the medals? The medals can be purchased at any military clothing store on any base.

This sounds like a plea to get medals that weren't earned. Are you planning on acting like you were in the military to get some tavern attention?
(Anyone who has actually been in the military wouldn't phrase the question as you have, because we know better.)

What kind of medals did you lose? If you're in the army, you can get most of the replaced at your PXtra.
