The glass stove tops are great.Clean and dry the bottom of the pan before cooking. When you get a spot ,you can get a special cleaner (.ask in walmart)It is a white past rub it in and let is sit for a few minutes. After that you can rub it with a damp sponge.
This type of cooking takes less time to keep the stove looking clean. It takes a few days to learn how to handle the stove.
Glad I bought one . yasses 1

Great stoves, but tough to keep clean. Make sure you don't leave anything unattended, and don't cook on high heats. You may want to purchase the special cleaner for glass top stoves, you will need it. It is a mild abrasive, with a solvent in it.

You'll probably have to buy new, high-quality pots and pans. You'll find that almost all your pans set unevenly upon the stove, and therefore parts of the food cook or burn sooner than others. Low-quality and cheap cookware will warp soon and you'll be stuck with the same problem. But I do find the stovetop easy to clean.

My wife and I love ours. Get yourself a bottle of ceramic cleaner. You can keep the top clean without damaging it. Also, if you're used to a regular stove you'll find that glass tops get really hot, really fast. Until you get used to it you'll want to be extra careful.

i had one and i liked it, but it was a little annoying to keep clean. need to use special ceramic cleaner, but i did have some spots that i couldn't get off so i just had to live with it. i ABSOLUTELY prefer it over an electric burner stove though!

My parents hate theirs. It is hard to keep clean and it is not as hot as a standard stove.

I just got one a couple of months ago. I was not aware of the cleaning and care before I made the purchase. I was afraid when I read the handbook, but it hasn't been so bad. It does require being more careful! Read up before you decide.

I would much rather cook with a gas stove.

DON'T...they don't bring water to a boil quickly, and they are a pain to clean. I had one, and it was quickly gone. I bought a gas top/ electric oven (convection) also called a duel fuel. They are more expensive, but worth every penny

have one. love it. easy to clean ( razor blade for tough stuff, special glass top cleaner for regular ) would definitely recommend it. *just don't put scratchy stuff on it as it will scratch...like rough ceramic platters..
