Make some potato soup. Saute some onion and celery and add cubed potatoes and water. When almost done make a roux of 2 T. butter and 2 T. flour till light brown--stir into soup, add salt and pepper to taste and cook another 10 minutes. Altogether it won't take more than about 45 min. Leftover soup will taste even better.
